Hi. I’m Deepak, a Pathologist and healthcare administrator with over 17 years of experience in diagnostic medicine. I hold an MBBS, an MD in Pathology, and an MBA, and I currently head the National Reference Laboratory at Orange Health Labs, Bangalore. I’m an ex-Army doctor, retired with the rank of Major, and an alumnus of the Army Medical Corps. My work sits at the point where laboratory science meets everyday health decisions, from hormone and fertility testing to the blood work that helps women understand what’s happening inside their bodies. At Premom, I collaborate on educational content that makes diagnostic science clearer for the women who rely on it, cutting through confusion around test results, home testing, and when a lab visit is worth it. The aim is simple: to make accurate, evidence-led information easier to find and easier to trust.

Dr. Deepak S. Jois brings together more than 17 years of clinical laboratory experience with a strong foundation in healthcare operations and medical education. He completed his MBBS from M.S. Ramaiah Medical College in 2008, earned his MD in Pathology from Command Hospital Air Force, Bangalore, and holds an MBA from Sikkim Manipal University. As Head of the National Reference Laboratory at Orange Health Labs, he oversees high-complexity diagnostics across a wide clinical range. Before this, he led Technical Operations for Karnataka at Neuberg Anand Reference Laboratory and headed its Biochemistry Department.

Over his career, Dr. Jois has worked extensively across Hematology, Cytogenetics, Molecular Diagnostics, Biochemistry, Flow Cytometry, Immunopathology, Coagulation, and Blood Banking, with a parallel interest in laboratory automation, Lean and Six Sigma practice, and integrating IT into healthcare. A consistent thread in his clinical and educational work is a commitment to sharing knowledge: he has contributed to national and international publications, teaches medical and paramedical professionals, and runs the YouTube channel “Healthcare Udyog,” where he breaks down diagnostic medicine and healthcare careers for a wider audience. He brings that same clarity to his collaborations with Premom, translating complex diagnostic science into guidance women can actually use.
